It is the desire of everyone to secure a dream job. But the problem is that most of the job applicants don’t really know what to do, who to meet and where to find the job of their dreams. It is on this ground that I have decided to write this article on “How to Find Your Dream Job.”

The job market is already saturated and the best jobs are not always advertised on the pages of national dailies (newspapers). A nationwide survey conducted
By the ministry of Labour and Productivity revealed that only 5% of jobs are gotten through newspapers publication.
The labour market is highly competitive and very selective but there is job for you, if you are prepared to give it what it takes. The following will guide you to various employment sources and lead to a job that is right for you.

               FRIENDS AND RELATIVES
In your search for a dream job, your first point of contact and source is your family members and friends. You must spread your need around your family and circle acquaintances that you are looking for job. Most companies make it a practice of posting jobs opening for the convenience of their employees. So always ask family members and friends that are engaged to always check their companies latest listing and names of the appropriate personnel manager or supervisor.

              DIRECT CONTACT WITH EMPLOYERS
This area is often neglected by job applicants. Most times people hesitate to walk in the door of an organization and ask for application blank. Truly, the applicant may have to face rejection in this situation but it is a number game. The more people you contact the better your chances of getting your dream job.

        NEWSPAPER ADVERT:
It is obvious that newspapers are read by thousands of people. Your application will be one of the many.

           RECRUITMENT THROUGH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Many years ago, this was the best and excellent job sources. Before you graduate from university or polytechnic, companies come to schools to fill their vacant positions   but today it is no longer like that yet few employers maintain connections with some educational institutes. Schools recruitment which involves the executives of an organization visiting the school during graduation yet another method, as this visit might culminate in graduate recruitment.
