BAYELSA STATE GOVERNMENT PAYS NIGERIAN ARMY N400 MILLION FOR SEAPORT SURVEY

YENEGOA, Dec, 27 (Caliphatemedia): The Government of Bayelsa State has presented a cheque of N400million to the Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers led by its commander, Brig. Gen. A.O. Adeleke for the survey of an additional 15,000 hectares of land for the Agge Deep Seaport in the state.
The presentation was done by the State Governor, Seriake Dickson in Yenegoa, the state capital. In a state release by his Chief Press Secretary, the governor said that his administration places great priority on security and security related investments and reaffirmed that the seaport remained a landmark project, which is relevant to the economy and Nigeria in general.
 
The cheque is for the survey of additional 15,000 hectares of land, having already surveyed 15,000 hectares for the propose Agge Deep Seaport project. The Agge deep seaport is a collaboration between Bayelsa State Government with Global Seaway International and Tiajin Energy Resources Limited of China (Technical Partners). The proposed seaport project was to gulp over $3 billion and will be located in Agge in Ekermor Local Government Area of the State.
